Jeff the Landshark!

I know I’m late to this, but coronavirus seclusion has me behind on the news. But hey, the Strong Guy BAF wave of Deadpool characters includes Jeff the Land Shark!

Jeff!

Jeff the baby Land Shark started off as Gwenpool’s pet that she stole after her team, the West Coast Avengers, stopped an evil scheme that was using Land Sharks. When that series was cancelled the writer began writing a Deadpool comic and she had Gwen hand over ownership to Deadpool because she wasn’t certain what Marvel would do with her character and didn’t want Jeff to get fridged. (And by that I mean this was the motivation of both the writer and the character of Gwenpool who’s superhero origin is that she’s a comic book fab from our world and so she knows all the comic book tropes work. )

This pretty much sums up Jeff fans.

I’m all for any Gwenpool supporting characters getting action figures. Please make Gwen Pig, the pig Gwen dressed up as herself to trick some aliens.

It makes sense in context.
She insists on wearing clothes. Adorable!

Is it in scale? 5 star Poison Ivy

So I see a lot of accessories and figures in other lines and I wonder, is that in scale with the other lines I collect?

So I own the Batman Nendoroid, but there’s those 5 star vinyl figures that are roughly the same shape. Are they in scale? Let’s find out.

So, kinda. If we assume Poison Ivy is shorter than Batman. It’s not perfect, but for posing or background figures the 5-star figures are fine. YMMV

One of the more interesting things about Nendoroid is the standardized face plates and heads. This means mixing and matching is possible, and Good Smile has taken advantage by making “costumes,” accessories and faces in the Co-De style under the Banner “Nendoroid More.” This is one of those things and it is the “loincloth” costume. These things are blind boxed and gold color is the “surprise” 5th style.

I’m using the Batman head in this picture.

Looking good, Bruce!

Nenderoids collecting, a statement.

After starting to collect the Overwatch Nendoroid figures, I’ve become hooked on Nenderoids. I had a few already, but I think I’m in one of those collecting moods. With over 1,000 Nenderoids released, many of them now considered collectible and going for insane prices on the secondary market, it’s impossible to get all of them, but I’m going to try and explore the line without breaking the bank.

If I can find something Nendoroid based that’s interesting and inexpensive, I’m gonna get it. And I’m going to avoid getting figures from properties I don’t know unless they come with amazon accessories worth the price of the package. We’ll see how that goes.
